He worked on a housing development in Arizona where they only get 12" of rain/year. Just from channeling rainwater from rooftops into dry pond beds next to the homes, they were able to grow 100 pounds of food/person/year! In a time where water is a precious resource, this is an approach we can easily empower ourselves to wisely use. He claims to channel 100,000 gallons of rainwater a year; the average household uses about 40,000 gallons a year! With this kind of info there is no excuse for us not implement these principles.
